Myriam Van Imschoot : New Polyphonies

New Polyphonies is a research into installations and concerts as experience contexts for sound performances in which listening is pivotal. Myriam Van Imschoot and her collaborators look into the art and practice of polyphony, warping temporalities and delving into both historical and contemporary forms of vocal multipart singing. The work invites tuning, detuning, retuning with a an appetite for the aural marvels that come when our ears enter the shifting vocal mix.The research will culminate in a concert installation with Hyoid ensemble and Fabrice Moinet.
