Sanja Mitrović

Currently based in Brussels, Belgium.

Sanja Mitrović is a Serbian-born theatre maker and performer, working mainly in the Neth-erlands, Belgium and France. She is the founder and artistic director of Stand Up Tall Pro-ductions. In recent years Mitrović has gained wide recognition for works that combine a documentary approach with fictionalised scenarios, often based on the personal testimonies of performers. With her practice she opens up a space of encounter between various cultures and languages, and is increasingly interested in the relationship between truth and fiction in the theatre context.
Between 2011 and 2013 Mitrović received regular commissions from international festivals and theatres, such as Tanzquarier Vienna; Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture; SPRING Festival, Utrecht; and Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Brussels. She is currently touring her most recent production Do You Still Love Me? which premiered in 2015 at La Comédie de Reims as part of Reims Scènes d'Europe Festival.
